The criminal justice policy board shall consist of: (1) The attorney general; (2) The superintendent of the state police and director of the department of public safety; (3) The public defender; (4) The director of the department of corrections; (5) The director of the department of human services; (6) The director of the department of behavioral healthcare, developmental disabilities and hospitals; (7) The chairperson of the state board of education; (8) The director of the department of children, youth and families; (9) The chief justice of the family court; (10) The president of the Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association; (11) One police chief selected by the Rhode Island Police Chiefs Association; (12) The chief justice of the Rhode Island supreme court; (13) The presiding justice of the superior court; (14) The chief judge of the district court; (15) The executive director of the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns; (16) The director of health; (17) The director of the division of fire safety; (18) One university or college faculty member with a research background in criminal justice appointed by the governor; (19) Four (4) citizens appointed by the governor; (20) Three (3) representatives appointed by the governor from community service organizations.
