Governor’s advisory committee on natural heritage preservation

(a) There is hereby established a governor’s advisory committee on natural heritage preservation which shall: assist the natural heritage preservation commission in establishing criteria for determining which projects shall be eligible for natural heritage preservation loans, make recommendations to the commission on projects to receive loans, and advise the commission on related natural heritage matters. (b) The committee shall consist of seven (7) members to be appointed by the governor and shall include representation from the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns and from recognized conservation and natural preservation organizations.
