(a) Participating agencies shall transfer data, as applicable, to the RIIDS in accordance with the data security policies as approved by the board, and pursuant to the requirements of state and federal privacy laws and policies. (b) Any agencies providing data on a recurring basis to the RILDS shall provide a representative to the board and be governed in the same manner as the initial agencies and entities and shall be subject to applicable board policies. (c) All Rhode Island state agencies shall: (1) Participate in the RIIDS to the extent practical; (2) Identify datasets of greatest value for policy analysis efforts and investigate the feasibility of making them available for the federated data system and other internal policy analysis efforts; and (3) Share data to the greatest extent possible as practical and permissible under law.
