Powers and duties of the advisory council on housing and homelessness

The advisory council on housing and homelessness shall have the power and duty: (1) To consider and make recommendations on all matters submitted to the council by the executive office of housing, the interagency council on housing production and preservation, or the interagency council on homelessness; (2) To advise and make recommendations to the executive office of housing on the preparation and promulgation of guidelines, rules and regulations; (3) To advise on the development of state housing and homelessness strategic plans and review updates on progress in achieving the goals of the strategic plans; and (4) To assemble subcommittees or task forces, at the request of the secretary of the executive office of housing, to review emerging or priority needs and make relevant recommendations to the executive office of housing, the interagency council on housing production and preservation, or the interagency council on homelessness.
