§ 40.1-22-21. State support of poor or indigent clients. The director may maintain without charge or defray the expense of care and treatment of such poor or indigent persons as are developmentally disabled clients under treatment in accordance with the provisions of this chapter who are residents of this state and proper subjects of state aid, who may have been admitted to any facility under the provisions hereof, and are not eligible for any other federal and/or state financial assistance.
