Legislative findings

It is hereby found and declared that: (1) The freedom to travel is among America’s most cherished liberties and the recreational vehicle and automobile are key modes of travel for those enjoying this freedom. (2) Recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds provide secure places of refuge for recreational vehicle users and campers. (3) A comprehensive set of standards for recreational vehicle park and campground development and operation has been developed by nationally recognized organizations and institutions and these standards provide adequately for the health, safety, and welfare of the public. (4) The public interest and safety are best served by having uniform standards for recreational vehicle park and campground development and operation from state to state.
