(a) Any nonprofit hospital service corporation, organized pursuant to provisions of chapter 19 of this title, is authorized to enter into administrative agreements with nonprofit prepaid legal service corporations organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. (b) Nonprofit prepaid legal service corporations, organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, are authorized to enter into administrative agreements with any nonprofit hospital service corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of chapter 19 of this title or commercial insurance companies duly licensed and authorized to conduct business in this state. (c) In the event a nonprofit prepaid legal service corporation, organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, enters into an administrative agreement with a commercial insurance company duly licensed and authorized to conduct business in this state, nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to exempt the commercial insurance company from the laws of this state regulating insurance companies or the regulations of the director of business regulation applicable to the company.
