(1) “Department” means the Rhode Island department of health. (2) “Healthcare professional” means physicians, physician assistants, dentists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, advanced practice registered nurses, nursing assistants, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and mental health counselors and marriage and family therapists, and any other licensees as defined by the department. (3) “Not currently working” means unemployed-not looking for a job, unemployed and looking for a job, on extended leave, retired, or other. (4) “Principal specialty” means the specialty the healthcare professional spends the most time practicing.
