The following shall be considered a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, the individual shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $500 or to imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both: (1) A township commissioner who, by vote, appoints an individual to the police force or as a firefighter contrary to this chapter. (2) A township commissioner or member of the civil service commission who willfully refuses to comply with or conform to this chapter. CHAPTER 21 TOWNSHIP COMMISSIONERS Sec. 2101. Organization and failure to organize. 2102. Monthly meetings, quorum and voting. 2103. Compensation. 2104. Reports to auditors.
