The following words and phrases when used in this part shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: "Board of commissioners." The board of township commissioners of a township of the first class. "Highway." A road or highway of the State highway system. "Individual." A natural person. "Municipal authority." A body politic and corporate created under 53 Pa.C.S. Ch. 56 (relating to municipal authorities). "Municipal corporation." A city, borough, incorporated town, township of the first or second class or a home rule municipality other than a county. "Municipality." A county, city, borough, incorporated town, township of the first or second class or a home rule municipality. "Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code." The act of July 31, 1968 (P.L.805, No.247), known as the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. "Person." Includes a natural person, corporation, partnership, limited liability company, business trust, other association, government entity other than the Commonwealth, estate, trust or foundation. "Street." Includes a street, road, lane, alley, court or public square. "Township." A township of the first class.
