The following shall apply: (1) The members of the governing board created and continued under 64 Pa.C.S. § 6004 appointed pursuant to the former provisions of 53 Pa.C.S. § 5911(a)(1) through (6) as of February 4, 2004, are hereby ratified and confirmed and shall be all of the following: (i) Deemed to have been appointed under 64 Pa.C.S. § 6005(a). (ii) Entitled to serve the terms of office prescribed by the former provisions of 53 Pa.C.S. Ch. 59. (iii) Considered valid members of the board for all purposes. (2) Nothing in this section shall be construed to increase the total number of appointments to the board which an appointing authority is entitled to make under 64 Pa.C.S. § 6005(a).
