(a) General rule.-- General officers, field grade officers, adjutants, administrative officers (Air Force), summary courts and judge advocates are hereby authorized and empowered to administer oaths and affirmations in all matters pertaining to and concerning the Pennsylvania National Guard, and all commissioned officers are authorized and empowered to administer oaths and affirmations in the enlistment of personnel for the Pennsylvania National Guard. (b) Penalty for false oath.-- Any person who shall falsely swear or affirm to any oath or affirmation before any such officer shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
