Excluding probation services, no county shall be required to pay more than 10% of the costs of operating new shelter care programs required to implement the reclassification provided for in paragraph (6) of the definition of "dependent child" in 42 Pa.C.S. § 6302 (relating to definitions), provided that: (1) the county has applied for existing Federal funds to implement paragraph (6) of the definition of "dependent child" in 42 Pa.C.S. § 6302; (2) the county has not been deemed ineligible for these Federal funds; and (3) the programs are approved as necessary by the Department of Public Welfare to implement paragraph (6) of the definition of "dependent child" in 42 Pa.C.S. § 6302. For the purposes of this section, shelter care shall not include institutional facilities. References in Text.
