(a) Duties.-- The Department of Corrections, the county office of probation and parole and the chief juvenile probation officer of the court shall: (1) Perform their respective duties set forth for the Department of Corrections, the county office of probation and parole and the chief juvenile probation officer of the court in accordance with section 9799.19 (relating to initial registration). (2) On a form prescribed by the Pennsylvania State Police, notify the Pennsylvania State Police each time a sexual offender is arrested, recommitted to a State or county correctional institution for a parole violation or incarcerated. (b) Notification form.-- The Department of Corrections shall create a notification form which will inform county prison and probation and parole personnel how to inform sexual offenders of their duties under this subchapter. In addition, the Department of Corrections shall apply for Federal funding as provided in the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006 (Public Law 109-248, 120 Stat. 587) to support and enhance programming using global satellite positioning system technology. 2021 Unconstitutionality. Section 9799.33 was declared unconstitutional as applied by the Pennsylvania Superior Court. Commonwealth v. Lippincott, 208 A.3d 143 (Pa. 2019).
