(a) General rule.-- In applying and construing this subchapter, consideration shall be given to the need to promote uniformity of the law with respect to the subject matter among states that enact it. (b) Right to trial by jury.-- Except as provided by an agreement to arbitrate, nothing in this subchapter is intended to require a party to waive the right to trial by jury to the extent provided by the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of Pennsylvania. (c) Severability.-- If any provision of this subchapter or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of this subchapter and the application of such provisions to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected.
