(a) Leave accrual following date of transfer.-- On and after the date of transfer, leave shall be accrued by transferred administrators as provided by State judicial personnel policies. For purposes of determining the accrual rate for annual leave, the term "service" shall mean State and county service which is creditable for retirement purposes, excluding any nonstate or noncounty service which may be creditable for State or county retirement purposes. (b) Leave carryover following date of transfer.-- On and after the date of transfer, a transferred administrator shall be permitted to carry accrued leave from calendar year to calendar year as provided by State judicial personnel policies. (c) Leave eligible for payment.-- If a transferred administrator terminates active service with the unified judicial system, such transferred administrator shall be paid for sick leave and annual leave transferred and credited under section 2394 (relating to sick leave and annual leave) and for sick, annual and other leave accrued on and after the date of transfer as permitted by State judicial personnel policies in effect on the transferred administrator's date of termination.
