(a) Purpose.-- The purpose of this chapter is to create a comprehensive legal framework for the sale, solicitation and negotiation of pet insurance policies in this Commonwealth. (b) Applicability.-- This chapter applies to a pet insurance policy that is: (1) sold, solicited or negotiated in this Commonwealth and issued to a resident of this Commonwealth; or (2) delivered or issued for delivery in this Commonwealth.
