Severability of this act shall be as follows: (1) Except as set forth in paragraph (2), if any provision of this act or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this act which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application. (2) If any of the following provisions of this act is held invalid, independent of its application to any person or circumstance, all of the following provisions of this act are void: (i) The amendment of the definitions of "basic contribution rate," "class of service multiplier," "standard single life annuity" and "superannuation or normal retirement age" in 24 Pa.C.S. § 8102. (ii) The amendment or addition of 24 Pa.C.S. §§ 8303; 8304; 8305 except for subsection (c)(4)(ii); 8305.1; 8323(a), (c) and (c.1); 8328; 8346(d)(2)(i); 8348.1; 8348.2; 8348.3; 8348.5; and 8525. * * *
