(a) General rule.-- Except as provided in the following subsections, the amendments to Title 24 shall take effect immediately and shall be retroactive to January 1, 1983. (b) School subsidies.-- Sections 1 (adding Chapter 29 of Title 24) and 9 (repeals) shall take effect immediately and shall be retroactive to July 1, 1983. (c) Retirement contributions by school and public employees.-- The amendments to the definition of "basic contribution rate" in section 8102 of Title 24 and all of the amendments to Title 71 shall take effect immediately. 1984, JUNE 29, P.L.450, NO.95
