(a) General rule.-- A member or employee of the design commission may not, concurrent with the service of the member or employee with the design commission, be a party officer, public officer, public official, public employee or a member of the immediate family of a party officer, public officer or public official. (b) Application of acts.-- 65 Pa.C.S. Ch. 11 (relating to ethics standards and financial disclosure) and the act of July 19, 1957 (P.L.1017, No.451), known as the State Adverse Interest Act, are made specifically applicable to members and employees of the design commission. For the purposes of application of the acts, employees of the design commission shall be regarded as public employees of the Commonwealth, and members of the design commission shall be regarded as public officials of the Commonwealth, regardless of if the members or employees receive compensation. The design commission shall also be subject to 65 Pa.C.S. Ch. 7 (relating to open meetings) and the act of February 14, 2008 (P.L.6, No.3), known as the Right-to-Know Law.
