(a) General rule.-- The county commissioners may provide for insurance as they deem appropriate on the real and personal property of the county, including all grounds, buildings and contents, vehicles and information technology. (b) Types of insurance.-- In addition to any form of comprehensive, general or umbrella liability insurance, the board of commissioners may acquire insurance against any form of loss or liability, including crime, fire, natural disaster, errors and omissions of officers or employees, vehicle operation and use of information technology.
