The county solicitor shall have the following duties: (1) Commence and prosecute each suit brought, or to be brought, by the county when the rights, privileges, properties, claims or demands of the county are involved. (2) Defend all actions or suits brought against the county. (3) Perform all duties now enjoined by law upon county solicitors. (4) Act professionally and render legal advice incident to the office which may be required of the county solicitor by the county commissioners.
