The circuit court of the county in which a licensee engaged in the practice of law in this state maintains or has maintained a principal office has jurisdiction as provided in ORS 9.705 to 9.757 whenever the licensee has died, is disbarred or suspended from the active practice of law, is incarcerated or has abandoned the practice and: (1) The licensee failed to make arrangements for the orderly suspension or termination of the law practice of the licensee; or (2) A duly appointed personal representative or other person assisting with the suspension or termination of the law practice is unable to adequately protect the interests of the licensees clients.
