(1) Except for a notice of a claim for a lien created by ORS 87.226, the recording officer of a county shall record the notices filed under ORS 87.242 in a book kept for that purpose and called index of liens upon chattels. (2) Notices filed with the Secretary of State under ORS 87.242 shall: (a) Be in a form prescribed by the Secretary of State; and (b) Be maintained as public records for a period of time established by the Secretary of State. (3) Fees for filing notices and requests for copies of such notices shall be established by the Secretary of State under ORS 177.130. Fees described in this subsection shall be nonrefundable.
