Each of the following is a requirement for exempt-vehicle safety lighting equipment: (1) Exempt-vehicle safety lighting equipment shall consist of at least two lighted lights or lanterns. (2) The following are the colors for the indicated type of exempt-vehicle safety lighting equipment indicated: (a) The exempt-vehicle safety lighting equipment that exhibits a light to the front of the vehicle shall exhibit a white light in that direction. (b) The exempt-vehicle safety lighting equipment that exhibits a light to the rear of the vehicle shall exhibit a red light in that direction. (3) At least one piece of exempt-vehicle safety lighting equipment shall exhibit a light visible to the front of the vehicle and at least one shall exhibit a light visible to the rear of the vehicle. (4) Exempt-vehicle safety lighting equipment shall be visible from a distance of 500 feet from the direction that the light is required to be visible.
