(1) A person commits the offense of unlawfully removing an odometer repair notice if the person removes any notice showing service, repair or replacement of an odometer with the mileage reading and the date of the work that has been placed on a vehicle in compliance with ORS 815.415. (2) The offense described in this section, unlawfully removing an odometer repair notice, is a Class C misdemeanor.
