(1) A person commits the offense of unlawful use of lights to signal for passing if the person is operating a vehicle and the person flashes any lights as a courtesy or do pass signal to other drivers approaching from the rear. (2) The offense described in this section, unlawful use of lights to signal for passing, is a Class D traffic violation.
