(1) A person commits the offense of failing to surrender a prior license if the person accepts a license or driver permit issued by the Department of Transportation to that person without first surrendering all out-of-state licenses or driver permits issued to that person. (2) The offense described in this section, failure to surrender a prior license, is a Class D traffic violation.
