(1) If a commissioner appointed under ORS 777.925 fails, without being excused by the remaining members of the board, to attend for a period of 60 days any of the regular or special meetings of the board regularly and duly called and held, that commissioner may be removed from office by the Governor. (2) The board may grant a leave of absence not exceeding three months to a commissioner unable to attend meetings of the board by reason of illness or continued absence from the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay.
