Oregon Code § ORS 746.137

Reimbursement of private emergency responders actual expenses in emergency response

(1) As used in this section:
(a) Emergency has the meaning given that term in ORS 401.025.
(b) Private emergency responder means a private hazardous materials response team, and individuals working under the direction of the private hazardous materials response team, that provides subject matter expertise or technical experience that may be called upon to participate in the response to an emergency.
(2) When the insurer of a liable party is obligated to reimburse a private emergency responder for services provided in response to an emergency, the insurer shall reimburse the private emergency responder for the actual costs incurred for emergency response, including, but not limited to, costs associated with mobile laboratories, tools and equipment for handling hazardous materials and other specialized equipment.
