(1) As used in this section, student health benefit plan means a plan that is subject to rules adopted by the United States Department of Health and Human Services under 42 U.S.C. 18118(c). (2) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Department of Consumer and Business Services shall by rule and in a manner consistent with federal law in effect on January 1, 2017, adopt requirements for student health benefit plans. Note: 743.551 was added to and made a part of the Insurance Code by legislative action but was not added to ORS chapter 743 or any series therein.
