(1) Subject to the written approval of the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services, the board of directors of a savings bank may fix the fee to be paid directors who are not acting as officers or employees of the savings bank. (2) An attorney for a savings bank, although a director thereof, may receive a reasonable compensation for professional services.
