(1) The Oregon State Board of Nursing shall establish standards for training programs for nursing assistants. An institution may apply to the board for approval of a nursing assistant training program. Upon receipt of an application, the board shall review and may approve programs that meet board standards. (2) The board may, at intervals determined by the board, survey training programs approved under this section to ensure the training programs continue to meet the standards established under this section. The board may revoke approval from a training program that the board determines does not meet the standards. (3) The board by means of a contested case proceeding under ORS chapter 183 may revoke approval of any training program that ceases to meet board standards.
