As used in ORS 537.132, 540.510 and 540.610, reclaimed water means water that has been used for municipal purposes and after such use has been treated in a treatment works as defined in ORS 454.010, and that, as a result of treatment, is suitable for a direct beneficial purpose or a controlled use that could not otherwise occur. Note: 537.131 was added to and made a part of ORS chapter 537 by legislative action but was not added to any smaller series therein. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
