(1) As used in this section, equivalent training program has the meaning given that term in ORS 283.410. (2) The Electrical and Elevator Board shall approve the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP), and review equivalent training programs for consideration, as a continuing education program that meets the continuing education standards established by the board under ORS 479.680 (1). (3) The board shall, on an annual basis, request from the EVITP provider information on the number of electricians who have signed up for the course, completed the course and passed the certification exam. (4) The board may audit the EVITP to ensure that the EVITP includes the most current national electrical codes and best practices for the installation of electrical vehicle charging systems.
