(1) Whenever a power is granted to the commission, the power may be exercised by such officer or employee within the Oregon State Lottery as is designated in writing by the commission. Any such designation shall be filed in the office of the Secretary of State. (2) The commission shall contract with the Department of State Police to obtain necessary security services. A contract is not intended to preclude the assistance of other law enforcement agencies as the need arises. (3) The commission shall have the authority to conduct investigations, including the authority to issue subpoenas to compel the attendance of witnesses and documents, to take testimony under oath, to take depositions within or outside the state and to require answers to interrogations.
