The Oregon Health Authority shall evaluate annually a number of the property decontamination projects performed by licensed contractors to determine the adequacy of the decontamination work, using the services of an independent environmental contractor or state or local agency. If a project fails the evaluation and inspection, the contractor is subject to a civil penalty and license suspension that prohibits the contractor from performing additional work until deficiencies have been corrected on the project. Civil penalties under this section shall be imposed as provided in ORS 183.745.
