(1) The Department of Human Services, in collaboration with other state agencies as needed, shall establish a State as Model Employer program. The program must employ a sustainable, comprehensive strategy to: (a) Develop accessible and inclusive hiring practices of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; and (b) Encourage, educate and assist state agencies in implementing the hiring practices. (2) The department may adopt rules as necessary to implement the provisions of this section. Note: 427.440 was enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but was not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 427 or any series therein by legislative action.
