As used in ORS 411.900 to 411.910 unless the context requires otherwise: (1) Director means the Director of Human Services. (2) Displaced homemaker means an individual who: (a) Has not worked in the labor force for a substantial number of years but has, during those years, worked in the home, providing unpaid household services for family members; (b) Has been dependent on public assistance or on the income of another family member but is no longer supported by that income, or is receiving public assistance on account of dependent children in the home, especially where such assistance will be terminated within one year as a result of the youngest child reaching the age of 18; or (c) Is currently unemployed and is experiencing difficulty in obtaining employment or is currently underemployed as defined in the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act, Section 675.4 (1979), and is experiencing difficulty in upgrading employment. Note: 411.900 to 411.910 were enacted into law by the Legislative Assembly but were not added to or made a part of ORS chapter 411 by legislative action.
