Advancements from Public Welfare Account to meet public assistance claims payable from federal funds

Pending receipt by the State Treasurer of federal funds for the payment of public assistance, the moneys in the Public Welfare Account appropriated for expenditure by the Department of Human Services for public assistance purposes shall be expended to the extent necessary to meet claims for public assistance which otherwise would be paid from such federal funds. Upon notice that such federal funds have been received by the State Treasurer, the department shall prepare a claim against such funds for the amount advanced from the Public Welfare Account for the purposes of this section and a warrant may be drawn by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services in favor of the State Treasurer in payment of such claim, for credit to and reimbursement of the Public Welfare Account.
