(1) The Director of Veterans Affairs, in the performance of the duties of the director, shall organize and coordinate the administration of all present and future federal and state laws pertaining to veterans, their spouses, dependents and survivors in this state. (2) As used in this section, survivor means the spouse and dependents of a deceased veteran.
