(1) A district school board may do all things necessary, including the expenditure of district funds, to organize, supervise, control or operate traffic patrols. A district school board may make rules relating to traffic patrols which are consistent with rules under ORS 339.660 (1). (2) The establishment, maintenance and operation of a traffic patrol does not constitute negligence on the part of any school district or school authority. (3) A district school board may provide medical or hospital care for an individual who is injured or disabled while acting as a member of a traffic patrol. [Formerly 336.460]
