(1) As used in this section: (a) Small ADM school district means a school district that has an average daily membership, as defined in ORS 327.006, of less than 1,650. (b) State-funded grant means a grant awarded by the Department of Education from funds appropriated or allocated by the Legislative Assembly to the department for the purpose of awarding grants to school districts. (2) Except when a minimum grant amount is provided for in statute, the State Board of Education may establish a minimum grant amount for a state-funded grant when the grant is awarded to a small ADM school district. (3) The Department of Education may modify grant application and reporting requirements for a noncompetitive state-funded grant for the purpose of reducing the administrative burden for small ADM school districts. Note: 327.127 was added to and made a part of ORS chapter 327 by legislative action but was not added to any smaller series therein. See Preface to Oregon Revised Statutes for further explanation.
