Driving state-owned vehicles for private purposes prohibited; rules

(1) No person shall drive, operate or use, or authorize or permit any person to drive, operate or use, any motor vehicle as defined in ORS 283.305 for any purpose except for official state business as defined in ORS 283.305 and by rule of the Oregon Department of Administrative Services.
(2) The department shall adopt rules to distinguish private from public purposes. [Formerly 291.726; 1991 c.176 5; 1993 c.335 10]
