Oregon Code § ORS 248.017

Eligibility for candidacy for office of precinct committeeperson

Notwithstanding any provision of ORS 248.015:
(1) An otherwise qualified person who will attain the age of 18 years after the deadline for filing a declaration of candidacy for the office of precinct committeeperson and on or before the date of the primary election, and who is registered as a member of the major political party not later than 180 days before the date of the primary election, is eligible to file a declaration of candidacy for the office of precinct committeeperson, to be listed on the ballot and to be elected to the office, including by write-in votes; and
(2) An otherwise qualified person who becomes a United States citizen during the period beginning 251 days before the date of the primary election and ending on the deadline for filing a declaration of candidacy for the office of precinct committeeperson, and who is registered as a member of the major political party on or before the deadline for filing a declaration of candidacy for the office of precinct committeeperson, is eligible to file a declaration of candidacy for the office of precinct committeeperson, to be listed on the ballot and to be elected to the office, including by write-in votes.
