Witness fees

Any person served with a subpoena requiring attendance before the commission, or any commissioner, shall be entitled to the fees and mileage as are allowed by law to witnesses in ORS 44.415 (2), except that no person shall be entitled to any fees or mileage for such attendance who is employed in the public service of the county in which the person is called as such witness. The fees and mileage allowed by this section need not be prepaid, but the county clerk shall draw a warrant for the payment thereof when it is certified by the commission.
