Bond or letter of credit of subordinates

A county accountant may require the deputies, clerks, assistants and employees of the accountant to give bonds of indemnity, with sufficient sureties, or to give an irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution, as defined in ORS 706.008, for the faithful performance of their duties.
