Definitions for ORS 109.518 to 109.525

As used in ORS 109.518 to 109.525:
(1) Assisted reproduction has the meaning given that term in ORS 109.002.
(2) Donor has the meaning given that term in ORS 109.002.
(3) Gametes has the meaning given that term in ORS 109.002.
(4) Identifying information means:
(a) The full name of a donor;
(b) The date of birth of the donor; and
(c) The permanent and, if different, current address, telephone number and electronic mail address of the donor at the time of the donation.
(5) Medical history means information known to a donor at the time of collection regarding the donors genetic or family history and past or present medical conditions that a reasonable person would consider heritable or likely to affect the health or development of offspring as supported by peer-reviewed medical evidence.
Note: Section 85, chapter 592, Oregon Laws 2025, provides: Sec. 85. Sections 84 to 88 of this 2025 Act [ORS 109.518 to 109.525] apply only to gametes collected on or after the effective date of this 2025 Act [September 26, 2025].
