Civil remedies between spouses in respect of separate property

Should either spouse in a marriage obtain possession or control of property belonging to the other spouse either before or after marriage, the owner of the property may maintain an action for possession and control of the property, or for any right growing out of the ownership of the property, in the same manner and to the same extent as if the spouses were unmarried.
