Title 74E. Title 74E: Political Action Committee Definition

A political action committee is any group of two or more persons
that receives contributions or makes expenditures for any of the
following purposes: (1) Making contributions to candidates or
candidate committees; (2) making contributions to other political
action committees; (3) making independent expenditures; (4) making
electioneering communications or (5) advocating the approval or
defeat of a state question.  Unless they choose to be considered as
such, family members, as defined by these Rules, or members of the
same household shall not be considered a political action committee.
Promulgated by Ethics Commission January 10, 2014; effective upon
Legislature’s sine die adjournment May 23, 2014; operative January
1, 2015.
